Using video for fitness marketing is a great way to get clients, create customer relationships and get traffic to your website and/or blog.
Have no website or blog? You should really consider getting one! A website is an important piece of your Fitness marketing strategy and one of the links in your 6 figure income. It's almost impossible to survive without a website or blog. A website can do so much for you in 24 hours than you ever could. It can generate extra cash while you are sleep and serve as a sales person for you 24/7. Also, It makes you look professional and gives credibility. Don't just throw up a website because I say you need one. Take your time and create a good looking website, as one of my readers put it... It will pay off.
Using Video to Get Clients
Video can be a powerful marketing tool for client retention & getting new clients when used on your website. It adds a personal touch that makes people feel comfortable. They can see you, hear you and know you are a real live person! You can use video to give monthly fitness tips to current clients, record a client workout session, greet potential clients visiting your site and much more! All these things will help to build trust in you as an expert in your field.
When prospects visit your website and see a video of you working with a client or giving fitness tips they can see your "work" and your expertise in action! They get motivated from seeing you really give your client a good workout and they get encouragement from your tips! Also, if you video record a client giving a testimonial of results achieved with you, this can really add an extra punch to your "sales pitch"! Videos are a great marketing tool!
Getting Traffic to your Website with Video's
Getting traffic with video's is a post of it's own. I mention it briefly here as I want you to understand the power of video. When you upload your video to sites like YouTube you can potentially expose yourself and your website to 1000's of people daily.
Also video is good to mix in with social media. You can share your videos with your friends and followers to entice them to want to find out more about you by going to your site. Video puts a more personal touch to whatever message your sending out and is a great client getting tool.

Making Your Video
The video above was made using CoffeeCup Web Video Recorder. However, as I'm updating this post, you can use your phone or a small recorder like the one I have in the video for recording and simply load your recorded video into Windows Movie Maker for editing. If you have Windows Xp or higher you should have this software on your computer already. It's a cool program that most folks don't know they even have.
Once you load your video from your external source into Windows Movie Maker, you can add effects, music, cut out parts you don't like, add titles ,captions and more...I mean, you can make a really nice video you'll be proud of. Just play around with it to get the feel for it. That's what I did and now I'm a pro at it.
Once you have created your video and saved it with all the bells and whistles you can upload it to Youtube on your very own Fitness channel for the world to see. You can also use Youtube's embed code to put the video on your website and/or blog. Not to mention you can link up with your Facebook, Twitter and other accounts for social engagment.
Video is the way to go today! If you are not recording, my advice is to jump on board with it. It's a great way to be different than most trainers and gain a lot of exposure and clients!
