Separating Yourself From the Crowd and Getting Noticed
Does Your Business Stand out From the Crowd? Or are you just another "I'm just like everyone else" business? Here we will help you separate yourself from the crowd by helping you understand why your business is different from all the others. This article and your course workbook will help you clearly define why people should come to your salon or nail shop versus going to your competition.
Creating a Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
Nail Technicians & Cosmetologist , do you have a Unique Selling Proposition (USP)? If your not sure what a USP is, let me explain.
Marketing Secrets of Successful Nail Technicians defines a USP as the unique and compelling reason or reasons why people should come to you for service. To be successful, you must be clear on why people should come to you versus going to your competition. In this competitive market you can't blend in, you must stand out from the crowd!
Businesses with a USP put themselves in a position to always be at the highest level of customer service. In other words they have to live up to the Unique Selling Proposition they have put in front of their clients and potential clients.
Examples of a USP Could be: "Never sacrificing the health of your nails. Creating Beautiful Healthy Nails is all we do."
When you have a USP like the one above you are telling your clients and potential clients that you pay extra attention to the health of their nails and this is why they should come see you. When you put this in front of your customers, they are expecting the best from you, which in turns make you push for a higher level of customer service. It gives you (and your staff ) a standard in which to deliver on and your clients a feeling of having made the right choice.
When clients start to buy into this statement , they understand why they should come to you versus going anywhere else. When you as an independent nail tech or cosmetologist buy into this you drive yourself to be the best. If you have staff and they buy into this USP they aim for a higher level of service too. Believe it or not, a USP can take your business to new levels and success.
How Many business can you think of that have a USP that makes you go to them versus anywhere else? FedEx? "When It Absolutely Positively Has to Be There...". This is a powerful statement that gets people to use FedEx. What's your USP?
Clearly defining to your clients why you are different from all the others will make you stand out from the crowd and ultimately bring you more business!
